Evidence-Based Practice

Vision:

All nurses in Alaska will have access to reliable data-driven evidence-based research and practice.

What We Are Working On:

  1. Creating partnerships with organizations and collecting existing data in order to create a central data repository for nursing in Alaska.
  2. Collaborate with Board of Nursing to gather data from questions included on the re-licensing survey.
  3. Enlist support and involvement from Alaskan nurses.

Get Involved:

The Coalition is interested in hearing your ideas about what educational offerings and resources would be most effective for you. Please email us your thoughts and ideas at:

Dashboard

dashboardThe Alaska Nursing Action Coalition has compiled data from the Nursing Workforce Survey 2014 and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action Dashboard in order to develop an Alaska Dashboard. This dashboard will help measure Alaska’s progress toward the goals in support of the Institute of Medicine’s report, The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health.

The Future for Nursing: Campaign for Action has completed a similar dashboard that measures progress towards each IOM report goal for nursing on a national level.
